Once you click the "Create" button, your account should be ready to use.

Special Folders

Both Zimbra and Mail use designated folders for Sent items, Trash and Junk. However, Mail does not always recognize the folders that Zimbra uses, and sometimes makes its own instead.

To make Mail use the existing Zimbra folders:

  1. Click on a special folder (e.g. Sent, Trash, Junk) under your Zimbra account.
  2. Go to "Mailbox->Use This Mailbox For" and select the corresponding mailbox type.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the remaining special folders.

If you have already been using Mail, it may have created its own Sent, Trash and Junk folders (e.g. "Sent Messages" and "Deleted Messages"). After copying any messages in them to their proper locations, you can delete these folders.

If you would like to verify or change account settings, go to "Preferences" (under the "Mail" menu) and choose "Accounts".
